As suggested by spikykun (Whoops!), I'm opening up an official icontest for this community~ Hooray!

Icontests are pretty self explanatory, I think, but just in case here are a few ground rules:

- Please only submit your own work or work you have permission to use! All officially published images (manga pages, anime screens, hell, even published doujinshi pages) are fair game to be turned into icons, but if you're going to use anything that's fan drawn or fan colored please make sure you have the artists permission and give them credit.

- Please keep things relatively work safe. 'Relatively' being the key word. Full frontal nudity and what not probably won't sit well with the LJ police and I'd rather not have them start hounding me.

- To submit an icon, please comment here with it and any other information/credit belongs with it. All comments on this post are screened. You can submit as many icons as you'd like.

I have a few questions for you guys, I guess they're related enough to qualify as a post here?...

(1) What are the best communities to x-post these fics to? we gotta spread the renji/ichigo love around as much as possible, I think, and I haven't been here long enough to find most of 'em.

(2) Can we post hichi/ren stuff here? 'cause I might be getting a hankering for it. XD Personally I think it requires at least a little ichi by definition but whaddya think?

(3)This one is only related in the sense of wanting to improve my fics, but... can anyone clarify the rules of going to soul society for me? Or is there just nothing and we get to make it up? So what I mean is, that little boy that Chad *oh so long ago* freed from the bird went to soul society just as he was--a little boy. AND there was a lot of talk about people looking for their families, since he was going to look for his mom. Making me think that, for example, if you die at 80 you go to soul society as an 80 year old. Yet it seems like all the soul reapers "grew up" in soul society? And a lot of them have families?... Sounds conflicting to me. Also, when you die as a soul reaper, I think Kaien clarified this for us, you dissolve and become a part of the surrounding energy that makes up everything in soul society, right?
